US star in town for Easter camp

AMERICAN basketball star John Tresvant will be teaching youngsters how to dribble, shoot and slam dunk as he hosts a camp in the town.
It takes place at the Oldham Sport For All Centre, formerly the Oldham Ball Hall at Kaskenmoor School, during the first week of the Easter holidays.
Tresvant, who swapped California for Chadderton, joined Oldham Celtics in 1988.
He has since played for Manchester Giants, London Leopards, Derby and Middlesbrough as well as starring for San Jose Jammers in the CBA, the league below the NBA.
Tresvant has also featured in basketball summer leagues against NBA stars including Jason Kidd, Gary Payton, Antonio Davis, Brian Shaw, Tim Hardway and Mitch Richmond.
The camp is from Monday, April 6 to Friday, April 10 (9am to 4pm each day). The cost is £50 for all five days or £11 a day.
