Big guns are back
Date published: 06 April 2009
MANCHESTER United will have three of their big guns back for tomorrow’s Champions League quarter-final tie against Porto.
Nemanja Vidic, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney, who were all suspended for yesterday’s Premier League win against Aston Villa, are available for the first leg at Old Trafford.
Vidic will partner Jonny Evans in the centre of defence, with John O’Shea switching to right back.
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson says Scholes and Rooney will provide more attacking options.
But the Reds’ manager is still to make a decision on whether Ryan Giggs, who played the full 90 minutes yesterday, will feature.
Rio Ferdinand, Dimitar Berbatov and Anderson are still missing because of injury.
