Manchester Phoenix head coach Tony Hand looks set to continue his playing career with the club after a successful knee operation.
The 41-year-old has played at the top level since the age of 14 and had been struggling with damaged cartilage in his left leg.
“I still enjoy the training and playing of the game and while my long-term future lies behind the bench coaching, if I can still contribute on the ice, I’ll take it year by year,” he said
