Andi Jones — 13th in London Marathon
FORMER Saddleworth School teacher Andi Jones turned in a superb effort in the Flora London Marathon at the weekend.
Now teaching at Falinge (Rochdale), the former North Of England cross-country champion was the first English male to finish, taking 13th place overall in a personal best time of 2hours, 15 minutes, 20seconds.
Jones (30) is bidding to earn a place at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, next year and - looking further ahead - has his sights set on the 2012 Olympics in London.
