Chopra can follow Stenson’s example

WE hit the crossbar in some style last week when 66-1 selection Ian Poulter finished runner-up to Henrik Stenson in the TPC at Sawgrass.
Still, those of you who were on each-way as advised enjoyed a nice pay-out and it’s golf we start with again this week.
Stenson’s victory was another fine advertisement for Swedish golf and the Scandinavian country could be celebrating again this weekend.
Daniel Chopra played solidly throughout the TPC and was not at all flattered by his 14th position.
A winner twice on the US Tour, he has the game and temperament to succeed and his form going into the Valero Texas Open makes his worth an each-way bet at 40-1.
ENGLAND swatted aside the West Indies in the first Test at Lord’s and more of the same is on the cards at Chester-le-Street for the second Test, starting tomorrow.
With rain around, the 5-6 about England winning again is not a giveaway, but nor is the 13-2 about victory for a Windies side who looked completely out of sorts at Lord’s.
The draw, at 9-5, is feasible but, granted decent weather, a second successive England win looks likely.
RECOMMENDATION: Daniel Chopra, each-way, Texas Open, 40-1 (general).
