OLDHAM Sixth Form College netball team suffered an agonising defeat in the final of the British National College Finals, at Loughborough University.
They defeated the North East (29-14), East Midlands (37-7), East (32-12), West Midlands (21-20) and West (24-18) on a hectic opening day of competition.
The following day, Oldham beat the South West region 32-30 to set up a showdown with the South East which kept the crowd enthralled until the South East scored with only five seconds remaining to snatch victory 22-21.
