Belle Vue Aces made progress in the Elite Knock-Out Cup with a 48-45 victory at Ipswich, giving them an aggregate 101-85 success.
Aces will face Poole in the next round on June 15 in what promises to be a controversial encounter after Belle Vue bosses joined other clubs in calling for an independent investigation into allegations that the Pirates have “manipulated” riders’ points averages to enable them to strengthen their team by recruiting top Dane Hans Anderson
