Belle Vue Aces hung on to secure a dramatic 46-44 win at home to Lakeside Hammers.
Kris Kasprzak (13) and skipper Charlie Gjedde (12) managed to split Hammers top pairing, Aussie Adam Shields (17) and Kauko Nieminem (10) in the final heat to secure the win for the Aces.
Temporary signing for the Aces Kevin Doolan made a solid contribution with seven points, matched by former Aces’ favourite Jason Lyons for the Hammers.
Belle Vue are at home to Swindon on July 6.
