ICE HOCKEY: Luke Boothroyd produced a stunning finish as Manchester Phoenix came from behind to beat Milton Keynes Lightning last night.
A breathtaking penalty-strewn match was settled by Phoenix's captain in overtime when his shot sealed a 5-4 victory.
The result was even more remarkable considering his side had never really been in the reckoning, dragging themselves back into the game after being 4-1 down midway through the second period.
Adam Walker (2), Andre Mattsson and Jaakko Hagelberg got the other goals.
Phoenix also came from behind to win 5-4 at Bracknell Bees on Saturday with goals from Greg Wood (2), Ed Courtenay and player-coach Tony Hand (2).
This result means Manchester have secured a semi-final spot in the English Premier League Cup.
