ICE HOCKEY:
Ed Courtenay slotted his 33rd goal of the season in overtime as Manchester Phoenix beat Peterborough Phantoms 5-4 on Saturday.
Phoenix were dismal in the first half but two goals within a minute from Jaakko Hagelberg and Robert Lachowicz turned the game on its head before Adam Walker added his 24th of the season for 3-1.
Peterborough fought back through Joe Miller’s second of the game and James Knight levelled.
Walker netted again for Phoenix but James Morgan equalised once more to send the game into overtime.
Courtenay then settled it for Phoenix while Phantoms had two in the sin-bin.
Yesterday’s game at Romford was postponed.
