Phoenix on the ropes
Date published: 01 March 2010
ICE HOCKEY: MANCHESTER Phoenix's poor run continued as Milton Keynes Light-ning and Slough Jets put them to the sword.
Tony Hand's side were hammered 9-1 in Milton Keynes on Saturday before the Jets recorded a 4-2 win a day later.
Adam Walker scored twice last night, while captain Luke Boothroyd’s fourth goal of the season was all Phoenix had to show for their efforts a day earlier.
Phoenix are in danger of slipping out of the top four for the first time this season.
