England’s only other representatives in the competition, Arsenal, have been drawn against Barcelona in the last eight.

The first legs will be played on March 30/31 and the second legs on April 6/7.

Inter Milan/CSKA Moscow v Arsenal/Barcelona.

The first legs will be played on April 20/21 and the second legs on April 27/28.

MANCHESTER United midfielder Darren Fletcher has warned against taking Liverpool lightly, despite their disappointing season.

The Red Devils have won their last three league games and they face their rivals on Sunday.

Liverpool showed signs of a return to form this week with a 4–1 win over Portsmouth, underlined last night with a 3-0 win over Lille in the Europa League.

Fletcher said: “It would be a huge mistake to think that Liverpool are not a threat.

“They maybe haven’t had the season we expected after last year but they are still a dangerous side. They are still in the main the same team.”

Manchester City are also in action on Sunday against a Fulham side fresh from a stunning about-turn Europa League win against Juventus – 4-1 last night to make it 5-4 on aggregate.
