Phoenix swat Bees

ICE HOCKEY: MANCHESTER Phoenix ended their English Premier League regular season campaign with a 10-1 win against Bracknell Bees.

Adam Walker fired four past a hapless defence to bring his season’s tally to 50.

Phoenix never let up once Iain Bowie has scored within 26 seconds. Jaakko Hagelberg, Stephen Wallace (two), Andre Mattsson and Andre Payette added to the tally.

Last night’s result was in sharp contrast to the 10-2 hammering they received at Swindon Wildcats on Saturday. Walker scored twice for Phoenix.

Manchester will now take on last season’s Grand Slam winners Peterborough Phantoms in the EPL play-off quarter-finals next weekend.
