Phoenix on a mission
Date published: 02 April 2010
ICE HOCKEY: Manchester Phoenix face their biggest challenge of the season as they aim to overcome Peterborough Phantoms to reach the EPL play-off finals.
The current Grand Slam winners lie between Tony Hand's side and a place in the final four at Coventry next weekend.
Phoenix travel to Peterborough tomorrow (7pm) before returning home a day later for the second leg (5.30pm).
But history is on Phoenix's side as they have beaten their opponents four times in their six meetings this season.
If Manchester win the tie, they will face Slough or Sheffield Scimitars in the semi-finals next Saturday at the Coventry SkyDome.
