United midfielder ready for title fight

MANCHESTER United midfielder Darren Fletcher is not ready to throw in the Barclays Premier League title towel just yet.
Trailing Chelsea by a point with two games to go, the Scotland international knows the Red Devils’ quest for an unprecedented fourth successive league crown could be almost over before they tackle Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men conclude their campaign against lowly Wigan at Stamford Bridge, so United are pinning their hopes on old rivals Liverpool to do them a favour at Anfield.
But Fletcher refuses to look on the bleak side. After following their victory at Manchester City with a late salvo to beat Tottenham last week, the 26 year old believes United can still complete their mission impossible.
“I really do,” he stressed.
“We had that week where things didn’t go well and there was a real low in the squad.
“But we had to pick ourselves up. We needed to put some pressure on Chelsea, which is what we have done.”
