Defence the key for Hand

ICE HOCKEY: TONY Hand has said defence will be his key recruitment area as he looks to improve Manchester Phoenix for the 2010/11 English Premier League season.

Four new faces have joined the team with the most recent‚ Ben Morgan‚ being a recognised specialist defenceman.

But Hand believes a team mentality is needed throughout his side if they are to mount a serious challenge for honours.

He said: “I want to work on a bit more team ethic this time round where the guys are giving 100 per cent every night.”
