BELLE Vue ended the night with three fit riders and crashed to a 55-36 defeat at the hands of Poole.
Top two Hans Anderson and Peter Karlsson both failed to complete a lap and withdrew with injury.
Late in the meeting, reserve William Lawson was lucky to escape serious injury after being hit by Davy Watt’s bike.
Although Patrick Hougaard (12+1), Leigh Lanham (11+1) and James Wright (9+1) showed spirit, the Aces were no match for the table-topping Pirates for whom Jason Doyle top scored (15+1).
