MANCHESTER Phoenix ice hockey team have signed Ukrainian Pavel Gomenyuk from Hull.
The 32-year-old is a tough defence man who, as well as being able to protect his team-mates, can score points at pivotal times.
He is no stranger to Britain, having played for Solihull, won a championship with Newcastle and starred for Hull – playing more than 140 games in the last three seasons.
“Pavel is one of those players who goes about his work in a quiet, but highly-effective manner,” said Phoenix player-coach Tony Hand.
