PAUL Scholes has been linked with a coaching role at Athletic.
National newspaper reports at the weekend hinted that the in-form Manchester United midfielder would jump at the chance to get involved with the club he supported as a boy.
A source close to Scholes was quoted as saying that an opportunity to be a coach at the Boundary Park club would be a “dream come true” for the 35-year-old.
“I still think retirement from club football is a few years off for me but I’ve started doing my coaching badges because I’m determined to stay in the game,” Scholes himself told coaching website Football4Football.com. “I don’t know about anything else.”
