GARY Neville admitted he thought his Manchester United career was coming to an end in April this year.
The full-back (35) was still waiting to hear about the one-year contract he eventually signed.
He said: “I turned round during training one morning and said 'I have three games to go at Manchester United.
"I had not spoken to the club and I genuinely felt it could be the last three weeks.”
