Rooney out of Valencia clash
Date published: 28 September 2010
Wayne Rooney will miss Manchester United's Champions League clash with Valencia tomorrow.
The 24–year–old will not be fit enough to make the trip after being withdrawn with an ankle knock against Bolton.
There has been no indication whether Rooney's absence will miss Saturday's Barclays Premier League encounter with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, plus England's Euro 2012 qualifier with Montenegro on October 12.
Rooney has been carrying a niggling ankle injury for around a fortnight.
Tonight’s Champions League action sees Chelsea host Marseille and Arsenal travel to Partizan Belgrade (7.45pm kick-offs).
