Ardiles tips Spurs to end United run

TOTTENHAM legend Ossie Ardiles believes the White Hart Lane club are on the brink of breaking into the Premier League’s elite.
As Spurs prepare for Sunday’s visit of table-topping Manchester United, Ardiles paid tribute to the job performed by manager Harry Redknapp.
And the Argentian World Cup winner declared: "He has turned Spurs into a club that is capable of beating the likes of Inter Milan and AC Milan."
More immediately, the true test of Tottenham's credentials will come on Sunday when they hope to cut the eight–point gap between themselves and United.
Spurs lost 2–0 in the reverse fixture last October, but Ardiles reckons Redknapp's team stands a good chance of toppling Sir Alex Ferguson's side and even maintains his former club can go on to win the title this year.
"I think we will go into the match as favourites," Ardiles said.
For their part, United go into the game unbeaten this season despite observations that they have failed to reach the heights of previous campaigns.
Striker Wayne Rooney has yet to recapture the scintillating form of last season and will be desperate to make an impact, while Dimitar Berbatov will need no firing up against the side whom he left to join United in a £32 million deal two seasons ago.
