England honours

RUNNING:

ADAM Howard, of Oldham and Royton Harriers, crossed the line in fourth place at the English Schools’ Cross-Country Championships at Wollaton Park, Nottingham.

The teenager, in the Greater Manchester team, was up against runners a year older.

Howard’s effort clinched selection for the England schools team to compete in Northern Ireland next weekend.
