City dismiss Ronaldo link

MANCHESTER City have rubbished rumours they are preparing a bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Reports suggested the cash-rich Blues wanted to lure Ronaldo to Eastlands following their FA Cup success and qualification for the Champions League.
However, the club wasted no time in distancing themselves from talk of recruiting the former Manchester United forward.
A spokesperson said: “There is no substance in these reports whatsoever.”
Speculation over the future of City skipper Carlos Tevez also continues to gather pace after his announcement on Argentinian radio that he intends to leave the club.
City travel to Bolton on Sunday on the final day of the Barclays Premier League campaign, knowing that if they match or better Arsenal’s result, they guarantee a third-place finish and automatic qualification for the Champions League group stages. The Gunners go to Fulham.
