Tevez back in training at City
Date published: 08 August 2011
CARLOS Tevez returned to training at Manchester City today with his future still uncertain and manager Roberto Mancini still has to finish his summer squad-building exercise.
Tevez returned to Manchester yesterday and has every intention of honouring his commitment to the Blues even though his resolve to leave remains strong.
With a bid from Brazilian outfit Corinthians falling through earlier in the summer, Inter Milan now look like the most realistic option for Tevez.
Yet a deal with Mancini's former club appears inextricably linked to the departure of Wesley Sneijder. And on that score, Mancini insists he is not interested.
“No,” he said. “It is not true.”
Instead, Mancini is looking at other targets, including Arsenal's Samir Nasri.
Meanwhile, Mancini believes Sergio Aguero needs to improve his fitness before he can be considered for first–team action.
"Aguero is not ready to play," said Mancini. “He needs to train.”
