Kompany shrugs off Napoli blip

Manchester City defender Vincent Kompany insists inheriting the captaincy from fans' idol Carlos Tevez will not change him as a person or a player.
The Belgium international took over the armband after manager Roberto Mancini decided to replace Tevez as skipper in the wake of his transfer request on family grounds and the on–off move to Brazilian club Corinthians.
The central defender said: "It is an honour (the captaincy) for me, but it doesn't change my role in the club.”
Kompany will lead out City at Fulham on Sunday and is confident, after the initial Champions League debut hype and then deflation after a 1–1 draw at home to Napoli, that the side will be able to lift themselves at Craven Cottage.
City have scored 15 goals in four Barclays Premier League matches this season and the captain expects normal service to be resumed after the team found their midweek Italian visitors tough to break down.
