FOOTBALL: OLDHAM-born Jordan Rhodes continues to impress in Scotland colours, netting in an fine 2-1 win for the under-21s against the previously-unbeaten Netherlands.
The 21-year-old Huddersfield striker, son of former Athletic goalkeeping star Andy, bagged his first full cap as a late substitute in Cyprus at the weekend.
And he followed up that appearance by heading the opening goal on Monday in the first minute of the UEFA Under-21 Championship qualifier in Nijmegen.
