Kompany: we can cope with pressure
Date published: 03 February 2012
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany insists the Blues have the mental toughness to stand the heat in the Barclays Premier League title race.
The pressure has been turned up on league leaders City, with their 1–0 defeat at Everton on Tuesday night coupled with Manchester United's 2–0 victory over Stoke meaning that they top the table by goal difference alone.
City entertain Fulham tomorrow, with Mario Balotelli suspended and Kolo and Yaya Toure still away on international duty.
"If there is one thing I know about our team it is that we are mentally strong," Kompany said.
