MIDFIELDER David Silva has welcomed Carlos Tevez's return to Manchester City and backed the Argentinian to play a key role in the title race.
Tevez could return to first team duties next month after apologising for being AWOL for three months.
Silva said: "He was a very important player for us. If he is back with us, then perfect.”
City entertain Blackburn tomorrow, with Mario Balotelli pushing for a recall after sitting on the substitutes’ bench in the 4-0 win against Porto in the Europa League.
