Tevez set for City outing
Date published: 28 February 2012
CARLOS Tevez was poised to make his return for Manchester City today in a rearranged reserve fixture.
City’s Central League Cup clash against Preston was being staged behind closed doors at their Carrington training ground.
The understanding was that it would take the spotlight off Tevez, who last Tuesday apologised “sincerely and unreservedly” for his conduct in recent months.
That followed his return to the club after three-and-a-half months in exile in the wake of his fall-out with manager Robert Mancini in a Champions League tie with Bayern Munich at the end of September.
