MANCHESTER City’s home clash with Chelsea tomorrow night has taken on even more significance following United’s 5-0 victory over Wolves.
We find ourselves four points behind the Red Devils, with our superior goal difference reduced to three.
The Chelsea match is our game in hand and I see it as a ‘must win’ because we cannot afford to lose ground in the race for the Barclays Premier League title.
Hopefully, key defensive trio Vincent Kompany, Joleon Lescott and Pablo Zabaleta return from injury as they are vital to our chances of earning three points.
On paper United are favourites to retain their crown — they occupy top spot and, apart from their visit to the Etihad Stadium on April 30, Sir Alex Ferguson’s side face virtually all of the sides in the bottom half.
I was desperately sad to see Fabrice Muamba collapse and suffer cardiac arrest in Bolton’s FA Cup fixture at Spurs.
My thoughts are with Fabrice and his loved ones and I hope this talented young man pulls through.
