Latics 20-1 to get that sinking feeling

SPORTS BETTING: ATHLETIC may have lost nine of their last 11 games and stand only six points clear of the npower League One relegation zone – but bookmakers are convinced they will avoid the drop.
Paul Dickov’s young team are 20-1 shots to be relegated and even though that’s 30 points shorter than they were before two defeats over Easter, the bookies are clearly not alarmed.
But should they lose to drop-zone club Wycombe on Saturday, the alarm bells will be ringing and 20-1 could drop to half that.
The hosts, beaten 4-0 by bottom club Chesterfield on Saturday, are 5-4 to beat Latics, with Dickov’s men on 9-4 and the draw 13-5.
MANCHESTER United virtually clinched the Premier League title on Sunday when they defeated QPR 2-0, thanks to more debatable refereeing, and noisy neighbours City losing 1-0 to Arsenal.
The Reds are 1-33 for the title - Betfred have already paid out - while City are 16-1, having been 4-7 two months ago.
Neither Manchester club will be in this weekend’s FA Cup semi-finals, but the two matches at Wembley should be close and exciting.
On Saturday Mersey rivals Everton and Liverpool do battle and, having recommended the latter along with Spurs at 8-1, I am hoping they can reach the final.
But they are in dire form at present and Everton, at 6-5 to go through, look the better option.
Latest odds: Chelsea, Spurs 5-2; Liverpool 11-4; Everton 4-1.
RECOMMENDATION: Everton to qualify for FA Cup final, 6-5 (Bet365, Stan James).
