Tevez vital to us, says Hart
Date published: 04 May 2012
GOALKEEPER Joe Hart "couldn't care less" what Carlos Tevez does at the end of the season – just so long as the striker helps Manchester City secure Barclays Premier League title glory.
Even after Tevez returned from his unauthorised stay in Argentina, it seemed certain he would be leaving City in the summer. But Tevez declared his intention to stay.
The news was welcomed by Blues boss Roberto Mancini, with most supporters also forgiving Tevez for his behaviour. Hart is confident Tevez will reach an amicable arrangement.
"As long as Carlos is here for the next two games, I couldn't care less what he does," he said. "His future is for him and the club to decide. All I know is that he is really making a difference for us at the moment.”
Hart is expected to shrug off an ankle injury to play at Newcastle on Sunday – a game the whole Premier League title battle seems to rest on.
SIR Alex Ferguson has rejected Roberto Mancini's insistence that Manchester United remain favourites for the Premier League title.
The teams are level on points and City top on goal difference. The United boss said: “If they win their two games, they win the league. People talk about goal difference, but it depends how many they win by. Say they win 3–0 on Sunday, their lead would be 11 and they still have QPR at home.
"That would be impossible."
