BOOKMAKING giants Ladbrokes and the Oldham Evening Chronicle have joined forces to raise money for local charities.
With Euro 2012 starting today, Ladbrokes presented the Chronicle with a £100 free bet on a nation of our choice. Keith McHugh, racing correspondent and compiler of the Chronicle’s weekly sports betting column chose Germany to win the tournament at 3-1. Should they succeed, a local charity will benefit to the tune of £300.
There could be further benefits: Ladbrokes has agreed to provide a bonus for McHugh’s daily Euro 2012 selections.
Each day his best bet on the tournament will appear in the Evening Chronicle and in Ladbrokes’ new shop in Market Place, across from the entrance to Spindles. Today’s advice is no goalscorer in the Poland v Greece game at 6-1. Should any Ladbrokes customer follow his daily advice and be successful, his or her winnings will be matched by a donation to the charity fund.
