Kompany limps out of friendly

FOOTBALL:
VINCENT Kompany suffered a suspected hamstring strain in Manchester City’s 0-0 draw with Dynamo Dresden in Austria.
The Blues will be hoping their skipper makes a swift recovery.
Meanwhile, City boss Roberto Mancini has praised striker Carlos Tevez.
Tevez’s problems at the club last season were well documented but Mancini said: “He has started pre-season training very well.”
MANCHESTER United manager Sir Alex Ferguson could bolster his left–back options this season.
United have been linked with Everton's Leighton Baines, and need competition for Patrice Evra after loaning Fabio to QPR.
Ferguson said: “With Fabio at QPR for a year, we are a little bit short in that department."
