Fired-up Giggs aims for summit
Date published: 24 August 2012
Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs is excited at the prospect of getting the club's season up and running at Old Trafford this weekend.
United were beaten in their Barclays Premier League opener at Everton on Monday and will be looking for better when they host Fulham tomorrow.
Giggs has won 12 league titles in 21 years, and his hunger shows no sign of diminishing.
Great Britain's Olympic captain said: "Your first home game is the one the fans are always excited about.
"They want to see the team again and the new players. I'm more excited than ever about the season.”
United could give a home debut and a first start to new signing Robin van Persie, who came off the bench at Goodison Park.
