MANCHESTER City entertain QPR on Saturday, in a repeat of that memorable final-day clash last season, in which two injury-time goals bagged us a 3-2 win — and the Premier League title.

It would be great to earn a more straightforward victory this time, instead of going through the emotional grinder!

It will be a tough game — there are no easy ones in this division — but we go into it with confidence after making an unbeaten start to the defence of our title.

In contrast, QPR head to the Etihad Stadium as early-season strugglers, having picked up just one point and still stinging from that opening-day 5-0 defeat at home to Swansea.

Hopefully, if we are at our best for this 5.30pm kick-off, we will have too much quality for our opponents and keep the unbeaten run going by clinching the win.

Carlos Tevez is in fantastic form at the moment. He followed a brilliant goal in the Community Shield with further strikes against Southampton and Liverpool.

As I have said before, he is quite simply a class act; his flying start to the campaign has given us a huge advantage.

Even though his late equaliser in the 2-2 draw at Anfield last time out was handed to him on a plate by Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel, Carlos still had a lot to do to beat goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

He showed wonderful skill to round the Spaniard and coolly slot home to ensure a share of the spoils.

It wasn’t a bad result considering we trailed Brendan Rodgers’ side twice — plus the fact we don’t have a great record on Merseyside.
