I HAVE said before that Carlos Tevez is the best player I have seen in my time at Manchester City.

His winner in the 1-0 win over Swansea served to further highlight his genius.

It was a wonderful strike which secured three points in a performance that wasn’t our most convincing.

After an unusually barren spell, it will have done Carlos the world of good.

He deserves goals because his commitment and work rate are second to none, and he has come back this season looking trimmer and fitter.

Joe Hart came to our rescue on more than one occasion against an impressive and plucky Swansea outfit, but we got the job done and maintained our unbeaten league record.

The victory was marred by a serious-looking injury sustained by Micah Richards. He required oxygen as he was stretchered off clutching his knee.

I feel bad for him, not just because he is a great lad and a fantastic athlete, but also because he had just forced his way back into the team.

We travel to West Ham on Saturday for a tea-time clash at Upton Park, which is never an easy place to go.

Andy Carroll is yet to open his account for the Hammers since his loan switch from Liverpool, but he has had a couple of good games against us in the past and is likely to be a handful.

Hopefully we will take momentum from the hard-fought Swansea triumph into our trip to London and return with three more points.
