Tonight’s our last chance — Mancini
Date published: 06 November 2012
Roberto Mancini knows there is no room for error tonight as his Manchester City side tries to salvage its Champions League hopes.
City face the possibility of premature elimination from the competition for a second season, after collecting a single point from their opening three games.
They play host to the Ajax side that beat them 3–1 in Amsterdam a fortnight ago, and hope for a victory to breathe some life into their misfiring campaign.
"This is the last chance," said the Italian manager. Mancini took unkindly to further questions about his future. Last week the Italian neither confirmed nor denied reports he spoke to Monaco last season, and reacted angrily when asked for clarification.
