No rest for Rooney

WAYNE Rooney will not be getting a night off tonight - even though boss Sir Alex Ferguson acknowledges his defence has most to do ahead of Sunday’s Manchester derby.
In the belief Rooney’s fitness levels drop when he misses a game, the Manchester United forward will start in tonight’s Champions League game with CFR Cluj.
Ferguson has raised the issue of Rooney's fitness more than once this season. The player’s most recent absence with tonsillitis was for two games last month.
“Wayne needs to play a lot of games to get his match fitness up,” said the manager. “When he misses two games it takes him three games to come back.”
