7-4 good value for golden girl Ennis

SPORTS BETTING:
BRADLEY Wiggins is 4-11 to be crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year at London’s ExCel Centre on Sunday night.
The Tour De France winner and Olympic time trial gold medallist would be the most deserved of winners and it is hard to envisage anyone else receiving more votes, despite a stellar year for British sport.
For those who like to have a bet, I suggest a delve into the market without Wiggins.
Double Olympic champion Mo Farah, 10-1 for the main award, is the 7-5 favourite in this list, but he may be beaten by Jessica Ennis. The golden girl of British athletics not only won the heptathlon gold in London, but she did so with a flourish in the concluding 1,500 metres, sprinting home to the roar of a partisan crowd.
With Wiggins, Farah and Andy Murray (16-1) likely to have their votes shared round, Ennis will surely receive the vast majority of support among the female contenders.
She is 12-1 to win the award, and 7-4 to come out on top in the market without Wiggins. That looks to be the value bet.
RECOMMENDATION: Jessica Ennis in Sports Personality Of The Year vote without Bradley Wiggins, 7-4 (general).
