Balotelli settles City dispute
Date published: 19 December 2012
MARIO Balotelli has made peace with his employers.
Reports this morning suggested the enigmatic striker had settled his dispute with Manchester City, which had fined the player two weeks wages - around £340,000 - for pitch indiscipline last season.
Balotelli missed 11 matches through suspension in 2011/12 after three red cards.
The striker’s lawyers were today set to present their case to a Premier League tribunal in an appeal against the club fine.
Balotelli had exercised his right to take his fight to a league panel after failing to overturn the sanction through a City internal appeal.
Talks seem to have smoothed things over: manager Roberto Mancini now insists Balotelli’s future is at the Etihad Stadium, despite rumours of a move to AC Milan.
