Fergie waits on FA

The Football Association will decide by Tuesday evening whether to charge Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson over his post–match comments at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
As requested, Ferguson offered his ‘observations’ by 6pm yesterday evening, giving the FA three working days to decide what they should do.
It seems likely the FA will opt to take further action given the pointed comments Ferguson made towards assistant referee Simon Beck.
Ferguson spoke out following the 1–1 draw at Tottenham, where United conceded an injury–time equaliser after Wayne Rooney’s penalty claim was rejected by referee Chris Foy.
However, it was assistant Beck who bore the brunt of Ferguson’s ire.
United are at home against Fulham in the FA Cup tomorrow evening (5.30pm kick-off).
