MANCHESTER City thoroughly deserved to come away from Old Trafford with three points after outplaying United.
We bossed the vast majority of the contest, showing particular strength in the midfield engine room.
Each and every one of the lads was so determined to make his mark and give the supporters something to smile about - and they duly delivered.
Gareth Barry popped up all over the pitch and set up James Milner's opener, while Yaya Toure and James buzzed about and ran the show all night. David Silva floated round and caused United untold problems.
Sergio Aguero stepped off the bench to bag a memorable winner.
His low sense of gravity is there for all to see, but throw in the strength and clinical finishing ability we saw in the derby and it is obvious this guy is an unbelievable talent.
It was a strike worthy of winning any match, let alone a derby.
We take plenty of confidence into this weekend's encounter with Rafael Benitez's team.
If we hit the same performance levels we did at Old Trafford, we are a match for anyone.
