Dickov aiming high with Doncaster

PAUL Dickov believes there is no limit to what he can achieve as the new manager of Doncaster.
The 40–year–old former Athletic boss was named Brian Flynn’s successor on a one–year rolling contract. Welshman Flynn opted to revert to his former development role following Rovers’ npower League One title–winning campaign.
Dickov, who left Boundary Park in February, will lead the South Yorkshire outfit in the Championship next season — and believes his side will be competitive.
“It’s a challenge but a challenge I am going to embrace,” he said.
Dickov was an early favourite for the job. He will learn from his difficult time with Athletic, where he resigned in early February a week after guiding them to an FA Cup victory over Liverpool.
“I had two and a half years at Oldham which was fantastic for me, working to a strict budget and without a lot of resources. The stuff you learn from that is invaluable, I feel am I ready for this challenge," he said.
