HOCKEY:
OLDHAM’S Nicola White hopped off the bench to earn her 50th international cap yesterday as England drew 1-1 with Australia in the World Hockey League semi-final pool match.
White missed Saturday’s opening pool victory – 4-1 against South Africa – due to illness.
Hollie Webb opened the scoring in the first half at Chiswick yesterday, before Australia levelled late on.
A draw or a win against unfancied Spain tomorrow night should see England through to the knock-out stages.
