LEGEND . . . Les Chapman.

Sixty four-year-old Chronicle columnist Chapman was born in Royton and over two periods from 1966-1978, made 263 appearances for Athletic and scored 20 goals in seven years .
He went on to make 749 appearances as a player during a 21-year career, with spells at Huddersfield, San Jose, Stockport, Bradford, Rochdale and Preston.
Chapman managed Stockport and Preston before in 1992 taking on his current position - kit manager for Manchester City.

The teams will be managed by Joe Royle and Brian Horton
Chapman said: “It’s really fabulous that such a lot of great players have said they’re going to be coming and playing on Sunday. It’s a humbling experience and should be a lot of fun.”
