We’re in a good position for last four - White

NICOLA White’s England team remains on course to qualify for the TriFinance EuroHockey Championships semi-finals after a win and a defeat from their opening fixtures.
England opened their Pool ‘B’ run on Saturday in Belgium with a 3-0 victory over Spain, White playing her part in a convincing win.
Yesterday’s second pool game, against current European champions Germany, ended in a 2-1 defeat, but a draw in their final group fixture against Scotland on Tuesday should be enough to put them into the semis.
Oldham-raised Leicester forward White (25) said: “We played really well against Spain, and then also in the first half against Germany. They are always a tough side to play against, though. We’re still in a good position to qualify for the last four.
