Goals flowing at City

MANCHESTER City made 10 changes, but carried on where they left off against Manchester United to power into the Capital One Cup fourth round.
Stevan Jovetic struck his first two goals for the club, while Edin Dzeko, Yaya Toure and Jesus Navas were also on target in a comfortable 5–0 win over Championship Wigan at the Etihad Stadium.
It was a third impressive win in the space of a week from City after their successful Champions League opener against Viktoria Plzen and Sunday’s stunning 4–1 derby demolition of United.
City scored 12 goals in those three games and manager Manuel Pellegrini said: “It was very important to see the same team we saw last Sunday.
“We saw the same philosophy of football and the same high performance.”
