MANCHESTER City's first away win of the campaign came at West Ham and did everyone's confidence the world of good.
It was the first of four matches on our travels, with CSKA Moscow standing between us and three UEFA Champions League points tomorrow, before the league clash with Chelsea on Sunday and Newcastle in the Capital One Cup the following week.
We were good value for our 3-1 victory at Upton Park. It was a good team performance laced with a few stand-out individual displays, including Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Fernandinho.
David is a pleasure to watch. He ran the show at the weekend and grabbed a rare goal, which was an absolutely brilliant finish to cap the triumph late on.
It kept up the pressure on those at the top of the table and, as I said, broke our winless run away from home this term.
We know it is not going to be straightforward in tomorrow evening's showdown with the Moscow men. It could be a relatively tight contest, but the players' tails are up and there is so much quality in the side, we will certainly be looking to build on the weekend result.
Everyone is determined to recover from our last Champions League game with a victory. It is fair to say that Bayern Munich thoroughly deserved their win at the Etihad Stadium a few weeks ago, having put on a mesmerising show.
Their passing and movement is out of this world and it was a real statement. We need to hit back by gaining maximum points tomorrow evening.
That would set us up nicely for Sunday's visit to Stamford Bridge. It is always a difficult venue at which to play, even more so now Jose Mourinho is back in the dug-out. It is a big, big game for both teams and one for the neutrals to look forward to as well.
